There are many words in Thai that have multiple meanings.

1. ผม [phǒm]me (male speakers)hair ผมมีผมสีน้ำตาล [phǒm mii phǒm sǐi náam-dtaan] I have brown hair.
2. ตา [dtaa]grandfather (father’s side)eyes ตามีตาสีดำ [dtaa mii dtaa sǐi dam] Grandfather has black eyes.
3. เย็น [yen]eveningcool / cold ตอนเย็น อากาศเย็น [dtɔɔn yen aagàat yen] In the evening the weather is cool.
4. ถูก [thùuk]cheapcorrect เขาพูดถูกอาหารที่นี่ราคาถูก [khǎo phûut thùuk, aahǎan thîi nîi raakhaa thùuk] He was correct – the food here is cheap.
5. เขา [khǎo]he / shehorn (on the head) เขาสะสมเขาสัตว์ [khǎo sà-sǒm khǎo sàt] He collects animal horns.
6. หน้า [nâa]faceseason หน้าร้อน ผมล้างหน้าบ่อยๆ [nâa rɔ́ɔn phǒm láaŋ nâa bɔ̀ɔy bɔ̀ɔy] In the hot season I wash my face often.
7. ฝรั่ง[faràŋ]foreigner (caucasian)guava ฝรั่งชอบกินฝรั่ง [faràŋ chɔ̂ɔp kin faràŋ] Foreigners like eating guava.
